African Adventure
A new sense of adventure sparkles within and I am excited to be sharing it with you. Sharing a little more of me, perhaps new and with this a context.
Before returning to Hobart in 2020 I lived and worked in Livingstone, Zambia. After much travel throughout Africa I was drawn to this beautiful landscape, people and wildlife. I taught yoga within the community, in a 5* hotel and on retreats. I feel privileged to be able to share this country with others.

Taste - what I am eating?
Smell - what I am smelling?
Bush Botanicals
Each evening after dinner as I settle down to read, listen to music, draw or watch a film I light this fragrant candle. It was a lovely gift and has not become a small regular practice, a calming ritual. The restful nature of the aroma of the bush brought indoors.
Sound - what I am listening to?
Touch - what am I feeling?
Feeling into rest - calves resting on the chair, the surface beneath my spine, support under my neck and back of the head, light weight on my eyes, listening in to the sounds within me, the sounds around me...........
We do not get enough rest. Try this; simply reverse your seated posture.
Sight - what am I seeing?
I am reading “This is Happiness” by Niall Williams
A beautifully written, observation of a slower pace of life, finding joy in the simple moments.
“And for moments, nothing more.
Some people understand the privilege of stillness and can sit and breathe and look and hear and smell the world turning and let what’s next wait a while. He sat and looked down towards the river and I sat beside him, both of us looking I suppose thirteen different ways at the river but saying not a word.” pg 38
