Autumnal Light and Energy

What a glorious weather we continue to have here in Tassie.
I find the warmth and sun offer me an opportunity to ease into life more gently, to feel more open. I leave the windows open on a breezy day, walk bare footed and sit outside as the air cools, the sun goes down and the birds sing good night.
I hope you too find ways to incorporate these small pleasures into your daily life.

As summer closes we are all back to regular activities. For me:

Yoga Classes have been busy, thank you for your interest. If you are interested in trying a class spaces are available. Check below for times and location or contact me for information about the class that may best suit your needs.

'Building Better Bones’, the most recent course, is underway. The next will commence, Wednesday May 10th. Maximum class size is 6, offering individual guidance within a small group setting. There are many benefits to this style of sharing and receiving.

2 hour Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra is Sunday 26th March, 3-5pm
Cancer Council Webinar: ‘Managing Emotional Wellbeing: for people impacted with cancer’ was postponed. I will notify you when it is rescheduled. Alternatively you can contact the Cancer Council for details: supportservicessouth@cancertas.org.au

Integrated into all I offer is Yoga Therapy. I also offer this in 1:1 sessions.

But what is Yoga Therapy?

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy applies the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic setting that includes personalised assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices

Who may benefit from Yoga Therapy?

Anyone who wants to explore using yoga to reduce the symptoms of their ailments.
If you would like to discuss how I can assist you, let’s arrange a 30 minute FREE phone consult.

Taste - what I am eating?

Tomato and Basil Risotto

This risotto is delicious and a great use for the tomatoes you may have in abundance. You can add protein to this dish by serving it with meat or fish; adding cooked beans for the final 5-10 minutes; or add nuts, nut meal or fold through any variety of cheese.

Touch - what I am feeling?

Stolen Cadbury Creme Eggs
A sense of the ridiculous and a 'touch' of sadness in this act.

Sound - what I am listening to?

"Hurry up, get more done and die"
We need to be aware of and feel our senses to be awake in our bodies, to take care of ourselves and others and to celebrate life.
The link is to a lecture and short meditation by Tara Brach. 5 minutes in there is a reading "Hurry up, get more done and die".  It is well worth a listen for the reality it offers, most of us, and with this the acknowledgement of a smile.

Sight - what am I seeing?

Bedtime Cereal

One of the most ridiculous food claims I have read: a breakfast cereal designed to promote sleep. "Don't believe everything you read."

Smell - what I am smelling?

The Needles

Fragrances abode on this trail, along with the spectacular views and it is just 90 minutes from home.
